Oh the weather outside is… not so frightful, yet. And we’re clinging to our last case of Fiction Rosé by Field Recordings. Rosé? In winter? Sacrilege! But we’ll do you one

Sage Sangria, makes 6 drinks
1 bottle FICTION rosé by Field Recordings
6 oz honey liqueur
1 meyer lemon
12 fresh sage leaves
Additional meyer lemon and fresh sage for garnish
Muddle about a dozen sage leaves with 6 oz honey liqueur and an entire meyer lemon, sliced. Combine with one bottle of FICTION Rose by Field Recordings, and allow to marinate in your fridge for several hours, or overnight. When ready to serve, strain into a clean punch bowl and serve over ice, garnished with a twist of meyer lemon and a fresh sage leaf.
DIY Honey liqueur (courtesy of Serious Eats), makes about 2¼ C
2/3 C honey
½ C water
1” piece orange zest, no pith
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
1 ½ C vodka
Cook honey, water, orange over medium heat about 5 minutes. Cool, scrape off any white foam. Once cooled, remove zest and cinnamon. Combine with vodka in a sealed jar and shake. Allow to rest for minimum 12 hours before serving.

I love the flavor of spiced wine during the holiday season and the winter. It seems to warm you up from the inside out. I think the sound of sage sangria is an excellent alternative. I have to try this recipe for my husband's upcoming birthday party at the end of the month; I think it will be a major success.
Well that sound fictitious!! I bet it was worth it. Let me try this, Go a little off beat.
Great post, Thanks for sharing.
